By aligning the lens design with natural eye movements, it supports smoother, more comfortable reading and helps reduce visual fatigue.

There are two natural eye movements while reading

FIXATIONS, which rely on foveal vision, are pauses where the eyes are
fixed on a specific letter or word.

SACCADES, which use peripheral retinal vision, are rapid movements
or jumps where the eyes go from one position to the next.

A reading pattern is a combination of fixations (pauses), and saccades (jumps), that determine a patient’s reading efficiency.

A reduced number of fixations indicates more efficient reading. The patient receives more information with each pause.
